Elite Soccer League entered Coast Soccer League for the first time this fall with 11 competitive teams. So far these teams have exceeded even the most lofty expectations. With a combined record of 52 wins, 34 losses, and 19 ties (as of 10/24/08), the percentages are higher than those of veteran clubs such as West Coast FC, San Clemente United, RSM Storm, United FC, and many, many more.
"We are very pleased with the performance of the competitive teams in our first year with Coast Soccer League," said Matt Affleck, Elite Soccer League's Director of Coaching. "I think a lot of clubs thought they would roll over us this first year, but they are finding that is not the case."
In most cases our Elite FC teams are in the top half of their respective brackets, and in a few cases they are in first or second place - quite an accomplishment for new teams competing at the highest level. You can see the details by team posted on the Coast Soccer League website.
