All ESL/CFA administrators and coaches must be trained on the RTP Protocols prior to returning to the fields.

In addition, all parents must print, sign, and return the following Cal South and ESL/CFA waiver forms to their coach/team manager prior to training:

ESL/CFA is committed to creating a safe playing environment. Implementing the Guidelines will require a cooperative relationship between the club, coaches, team officials and administrators, players (including parents/guardians). ESL/CFA will support decisions to not participate who are uncomfortable participating for any reason. Players who are sick, positive, showing symptoms of Covid-19 should not attend team events including practices, games and team bonding practices. Players and families must adhere to the below criteria

CFA’s updated protocols are based upon the most recent CDPH Isolation and Quarantine Guidelines and  Orange County Health Care Agency Orders and Strong Recommendations.

In summary:

  • COVID-19 positive coaches, players and spectators may return to play after Day 5 if symptoms are not present/improving AND they test negative on Day 5.

  • Close contact players, coaches who are vaccinated may remain with the team but must check for symptoms daily.

  • Close contact players, coaches who are not vaccinated must remain away from the team for at least 5 days. A negative test on Day 5 is required to return along with remaining asymptomatic.

Daily Symptom Check and reporting COVID positive results to sites

  • All players and staff should continue to monitor for symptoms to determine whether or not to come to practice/game each day.

  • Students who are COVID-19 positive, show symptoms, or are a close contact should remain at home and a parent or guardian should contact their coach for guidance

Mask-wearing with CFA

  • Players, coaches and spectators are not required to wear a mask. This is optional for all but encouraged in populated areas. If the event is indoor then teams must adhere to the local mask wearing guidelines.
